Incident and Emergency Policy

Safety first

If anyone is injured, the vehicle is on fire, or you are in danger, move to a safe place and call 911 right away. Do not wait for Movio, the owner or the driver before getting emergency help.

Report in the app

Open your active trip and tap Report incident. Choose what happened, add photos of the scene, the vehicle and any other vehicles involved, and share your location. Both the owner and Movio support are alerted immediately.

Flat or burst tire and breakdowns

Turn on your hazard lights, park safely away from traffic and set up an early warning device. Request towing in your report if the vehicle cannot be driven. Movio support arranges towing or roadside help on its side; do not let unverified people repair or tow the vehicle.

Accidents

Stay at the scene, do not admit fault, and exchange names, license numbers, plate numbers and insurance details with the other party. Ask for a police report or traffic investigation report, because insurers and owners need it for claims.

Serious accidents and fatalities

Call 911 and the police immediately and follow their instructions. Movio support will contact the renter, the owner and emergency contacts, keep the trip records, inspections and chat as evidence, and help coordinate with insurers and authorities. The vehicle must not be moved or repaired until authorities allow it.

Theft or carnapping

Report the theft to the nearest police station or call 911, then report it in the app. Keep the police report reference; the owner needs it for insurance and recovery.

Costs and responsibility

Damage caused during the rental is settled based on the pickup and return inspections, the police report and the vehicle's insurance. Movio reviews every report and helps both parties reach a fair settlement, without prejudice to anyone's rights under Philippine law.
